VIHA - Occupational First Aid Level 1

A basic first aid course that will provide you with essential life saving skills. This is a one day, 7-hour WorkSafe BC course covering the essential ABC’s – airway, breathing and circulation.

Additional topics include: managing obstructed airways, breathing distress and control of bleeding including tourniquet use, CPR (Adult) with AED use, minor wound care and records/reports.

All courses are taught by certified WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Instructors who bring years of hands-on first aid and adult instructional experience.

Upon successful completion students will be issued a WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid certificate with a three (3) year expiry.

Must be a VIHA employee who is required to complete this training by their employer.
